We're Ready for Summer!

Grace and I spend a lot of time outside during the summer.  The past couple of days, we've been getting the yard ready.  Joe mowed the grass (the part that isn't swampy) and put together Grace's sandbox.  We still need to fill it!  I put together her picnic table today and brought out some of her toys from last year.

Most of Grace's big yard toys have been birthday gifts from last year and this year.  We're really lucky to have such generous friends and family.  All of this might seem a bit much for just one 2 year old girl, but this allows us to keep busy at home during the summer instead of spending a lot of money on other summer activities.

Bring on the summer!  I'm pretty sure we're ready for it!

  1. I love sandboxes. Unfortunately, we are way out in the desert and sandboxes are risky here. Hot sand and scorpions - oh my! ;)

  2. @Janice

Yikes! I thought it was bad that a couple of my aunts were warning me from sand fleas!

I can't wait to get the sand for the sandbox this weekend! Grace is going to love it!!!

  3. Look like a fun backyard to me. I've been meaning to get my son a playhouse and some swing set with a slide. He has a sandbox & water table but doesn't like it too much.
