Friday Favorites ~ Super Bowl ideas

I've been wanting to do Friday Favorites for a while, but every time I start a post, I get lost for hours on Pinterest!  Gosh!  It's so easy to just keep clicking and pinning and clicking and pinning, until next thing you know, it's 2 am!

Well, this time, I'm just going to have to focus!  Pick a few of my favorites and that's it!

I'm not much of a football fan, and aside from watching my nephews play football for school, I've never watched an entire game.  So, for me, Super Bowl Sunday is all about friends, food and commercials!  I like hosting for Super Bowl.  It gives me an excuse to be busy during the game!

Last year, we served Chili, enchiladas and wings.  The big hit of the day was our Black Bean and Sweet Potato Chili

Another year, we served a couple types of soups, quesadillas and wings.  Hosting a SOUPer Bowl party was so easy.  I made everything a day or two ahead of time and just reheated and served in crock pots!  I definitely suggest this for any fall or winter parties!

Here are a few of my favortie Super Bowl ideas from Pinterest.  Since I'm in a snacky mood today, I'm focusing on appetizers:

Cheddar Bacon Dip

Pepperoni Pizza Puffs

Sausage and Pepperoni Pizza Puffs

Individual Seven Layer Dips

Cheddar Bacon Ranch Pull Apart Bread

Those are just some of the great appetizer ideas I've seen on Pinterest.  You can see more on my Super Bowl board or my Recipes to Try (Appetizers) board.  (I'll come back to add that link...Pinterest won't load for me right now.)

Although, I still haven't decided which of those wonderful appetizer recipes to give a try on Sunday, the rest of our meal will be meatball subs and stuffed shells.

And, since no party is complete without dessert, I'll probably make a batch of yellow cupcakes with Angel's Fantastic Frosting
