Wordless Wednesday ~ Muddy Puddles

June started off wet and rainy, keeping us inside most days.  Knowing that Grace needed to run off some energy outside, I put her rainboots on and took her outside.  The rain had stopped the night before, but the grass was wet and the yard muddy in some spots.

Grace is posing with the mud in this one, belive it or not.  Grace has the strangest "poses" and usually turns away from the camera when she poses.

She might seem a little unsure in this shot, but don't let the picture fool you!  She already walked through it several times before I got a good pic!

You can really tell how messy Grace's hair is in this photo!  She slept in those pig-tails and after getting her dressed, she really wanted to get outside....we've been stuck in the house too many days in a row!  There's no way she would have sat through getting her hair fixed!

Now she's really starting to have some fun!

I'm so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and took Grace out to play in the wet yard.  She had a wonderful time and I managed to get these pictures with my cell phone.  Now, she's trying to convince me to go out when it's raining and even asked for a rain coat!  We'll see about that!

  1. What a cutie pie! I used to love playing in the rain as a kid...
There is something very freeing about being outside getting wet and not caring. Kids know how to live and have fun. We adults need to stop and embrace our inner kid sometimes. Enjoy the outdoors - whatever the weather!
